Chrysanthemum Tea Herb Chinese Ju Hua
Chrysanthemum Tea Granule Packs       Code: #90103       90 Capsules        Price$5.99        Qty:

Chrysanthemum Tea (Ju Hua) is one of China's most popular herbal teas. This tea is well-known for its cooling properties , yet it is very safe to take everyday because it is gentle and not too cool for the digestive system.

Everywhere in the Orient, Chrysanthemum Tea is consumed regularly in the summer, to help the body stay balanced in the hot weather. Chrysanthemum can be a healing tea for someone who might have a health condition which is aggravated by heat. Some examples might include a headache, high blood pressure, hot flashes, the heat felt from a sunburn, or a sore throat and/or fever.

Chrysanthemum is also used to treat the eyes. The capsules treat the eyes internally. There are also external treatments with the dried, pressed flowers. Some traditional treatments call for taking a whole dried Chrysanthemum flower, soaking it in warm water and then laying one directly over each eye. Soothing, cooling treatment for red or itching eyes.

In Korea, Chrysanthemum is traditionally used to help mental alertness. It is medicinally used for improving mental acuity and alertness. In Western herbal traditions, Chrysanthemum Tea is used internally as a tea and externally as a compress to treat circulatory disorders such as varicose veins and atherosclerosis.

Chinese Herbalism associates the liver energy with the eyes. The energy of the liver is associated with anger, stress, and related emotions. Chrysanthemum is believed to be effective in treating eye pain associated with stress or yin/fluid deficiency. It is also used to treat blurring, spots in front of the eyes, diminished vision, and dizziness.

Our Chrysanthemum Tea is a special grade known as the Huang Shan (Yellow Mountain) Chrysanthemum. It is sweetened with lactose which is a milk sugar which is broken down in the small intestine by the enzyme lactase.* Our tea is in granule form. It can opened into a cup of hot water, or added as a sweetener to other teas, perhaps peppermint, ginger or green tea.

* not recommended for lactose intolerance
